Resident Evil: Revelations is getting an HD port to every console except for Sony’s handheld, the PS Vita. Considering that the Vita is more powerful then the 3DS, it has left many people wondering why exactly it is being left out. Well, prepare to get knocked out of your seats because the reason why is because of…screen resolution?

Capcoms’ Mike Lunn replied to a question on the Playstation blog saying, “when we were developing Revelations for new platforms we really wanted to hone in on the experience you get with a large format screen, surround sound, etc. This type of setup really helps players get sucked into the horror vibe and enjoy the game to its fullest extent.”

Well, I’m convinced! That argument is clearly full proof. Ignoring that 3DS displays in standard definition and has smaller screens than the PS Vita, they clearly made the right move. Sarcasm aside, considering how the Vita has barely any games on it as is (which seems to be the case with every hand held made by Sony) it would have been nice for to it at least get this. The Vita does have potential, and it will be sad to see it go the ways of its older brothers. That is until Sony just makes a new handheld and promises to actual support it this time.
