A report has surfaced that Project Gotham Racing 5 will launch with the next-generation Xbox, following in the footsteps of Project Gotham Racing 3, which was a launch title for the 360 in 2005.
The game is reportedly in development by Lucid Games, a new Liverpool-based studio comprised of former Criterion and Bizarre Creations team members. Bizarre developed the previous four Project Gotham games, whilst Criterion’s best-known work is the Burnout series, giving Project Gotham 5 an enviable racing-game pedigree.
Despite the somewhat provisional nature of rumours, this particular specimen may be connected to a tantalizing screenshot.
