I have a friend whose favorite character to use in Smash Bros. Brawl is Toon Link, and I remember teasing him a bit because being the super arrogant and massive dick that I am, I was so sure there was no way in hell they were going to have Toon Link in the Super Smash Bros. Wii U. Now, I have to eat my own words come this weekend when I see him again, so thanks Sakurai… you ass( Just kidding, I love you).
Yes, it would appear Link’s more animated doppelganger, Toon Link, will be returning from Brawl. I thought for sure he was going to be omitted considering he was all ready a stage prop in one of the levels for the 3DS version, but I guess the Wind Waker remake got him a second chance. For those curious, the differences between Toon Link and normal Link are pretty simple; Toon Link is faster, more agile and obviously shorter. There are more subtle differences that most competitive players will know, but you can check a Wiki if you want to know all the differences between the two.
I don’t have a problem with clones, I just don’t like clones of characters we all ready have. For instances, Dr. Mario is what I consider a really bad clone. Lucas and Falco I don’t mind though, because although they have the same moves as a previous characters (more or less) they aren’t just Dark Ness or Fox McCloud 64 version, if you get what I’m saying.
And if Toon Link is back, then my main man Falco better be too!
